What we learned monitoring 50 WordPress sites

When you are responsible for dozens of websites, the problems are rarely dramatic. They are small things that pile up quietly.

The usual suspects

Outdated plugins were the most common issue by far, followed by SSL certificates close to expiry and sites that had slowly become slow after years of added content.

What we changed

We built Pemantau, a dashboard fed by a small plugin on each site. It checks every five minutes and sends one daily summary instead of fifty separate emails.
